About Us
Regent Point Marina and Boatyard is
exclusively a sailboat facility located in Topping, Virginia. We have 130 slips that can
accommodate 20' to 45' sailboats with
a draft up to 8'.
We have a climate controlled
bathhouse, lockers, dinghy racks, pump out, boat ramp, ice,
laundry machines, bicycles, kayaks and canoes, picnic area
with grills, playground with a basketball court, WiFi
hotspot, and 3 apartments. Regent Point has a full service
boatyard
with a 30,000 lb. hydraulic trailer, ABYC & Yanmar-certified technicians, a
15 ton crane,
and is do-it-yourself friendly. |

Jim was raised on the water and has had a passion for boats
all his life. In 2004 he took his passion one step further
and purchased Regent Point Marina and Boatyard. Since then
Jim has transformed this exclusively sailboat Marina with
many large scale improvements and the addition of a full
service ABYC Boatyard. He is also a licensed yacht broker.
Jim is an avid birder and enjoys spotting in his free time.
Cathy
Wagner/Vice President/Account Manager

Cathy began her career as a bookkeeper and later became an
accomplished accelerated math teacher. She deals with
accounts payable and receivable, billing, and slip leases.
Cathy enjoys being on the water and spends her off time
cruising with Jim.
James
Wagner/General Manager/ABYC Master Technician

James joined the family business in 2005 and has become
involved in all aspects of the business. He has over 10
years of boat repair experience in multiple areas from
fabrication to electrical to mechanical. James is also
responsible for advertising, website design and
maintenance, and daily operations. He is also a
licensed yacht broker. James spends his off time golfing and
traveling with his wife.
Paul
Andersen/Boatyard Manager/ABYC Master Technician

Paul has been in the marine repair
industry for over 30 years. During his career he has
operated and owned multiple boat repair facilities, his most
recent was Andersen Boatworks in Deltaville. Paul joined the
Regent Point team in 2008. His experience has diversified
and broadened the Boatyard's available services.
Jennifer
Beachler/Certified Yanmar Technician
Jennifer is the newest member
of the Regent Point team. She is an extremely qualified
Yanmar technician with multiple factory certifications. Her
responsibilities span from technical boat work to maintenance
of the Marina property. Jennifer spends her free time
cruising the open road with her husband.

History
This property was originally developed as a landing for the
building of the Norris Bridge.
All materials were trucked to this location and transferred to barges that would take them
to the
construction site in the river. Regent Point Marina was
founded in the 1970's by Scott Kauffman. Jim Wagner
purchased the Marina in
2004 and has since expanded
to
accommodate the full service ABYC Boatyard that we have
today. The following pictures
show the development the property has undergone over the last 35+ years.
